This commercial unit had a small leaking coming in from the upstairs unit. The tenant had their drywaller just open the wet materials and they were just going to replace the drywall right away. We advised and let them know that it would be a good idea to have us first do the inspection before they replaced the drywall. When we went on site we found the framing and some more of the drywall to be wet that the drywaller had missed. We left a dehumidifier on site for a few days and the drywall and framing dried out. By trapping the moisture in the wall cavity, it creates the perfect environment for mold growth.
