We received this job from the homeowner and they just wanted us to do an inspection to make sure their home had no elevated moisture. They were under the impression that since they couldn't see or smell anything that everything might have been dry. They did make the right call to have us check the materials with our moisture meter before continuing with the repairs of the home. The owner was surprised to find the elevated moisture was still in the wall. We placed our drying equipment for a few days and all of the affected drywall dried in place. This saved the owner a lot of money and they did not need to remove the drywall or get it replaced.
